ASTON, Pa. - The Hood College volleyball team wrapped up action at the Knights Invitational with a 3-0 loss to Moravian.

- Moravian won 25-15, 25-14, 25-16.

- Carrington Ray tied for the match-high with 10 kills and hit .412 in the match.
- Samantha Baker had 16 digs.
- Walissa Jaque had four blocks, including two solos.

How it Happened
- Jess Appleton had four kills for the Greyhounds in a 7-1 run that gave Moravian a 15-7 lead in the first set. Hood pulled within in 16-10 on a kill by Jaque but five errors by the Blazers allowed Moravian to take a 22-10 lead.
- The Greyhounds opened the second set with a 12-1 run and never looked back for a 2-0 lead in the match.
- Two kills by Carmella Fouts and another by Ray helped the Blazers build a 4-1 lead in set three. From there, however, Moravian used a 15-4 spurt to take control.
Notes
- Appleton had 10 kills for the Greyhounds. Victoria Kauffman had 18 assists. Kirah Dreisbach notched 16 digs.
