FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College volleyball team swept Goucher in a non-conference women's volleyball match 3-0.

- The Blazers won 25-21, 25-14, 25-23.

- Elena Zinaich had 10 kills and just one error in the match, hitting .409 for the night.
- Payton Belella dished out 22 assists and added five aces.

How it Happened
- The Blazers jumped ahead in the first set 7-2 before the Gophers rebounded to tie the score at 11-11 on a kill by Bianca Brown. Hood led by as many as five after service aces by Zinaich (21-16) and Kite (24-19) before settling for the four-point win.
- Back-to-back aces by Belella capped a 7-0 run to open the second set as the Blazers took a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-14 win.
- With the scored tied at 23-23 in the third set, a kill by Belella and a bad set by Goucher gave Hood the three-set win.
Notes
- Three players had double-digit digs for the Gophers: Cat Hartley (21), Tes DeJaeger (16) and Kaya Melchor (10).
- Brown led the team with eight kills, while DeJaeger added 23 assists.
