SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Hood College women's indoor track and field team continued its season at the SU Challenge hosted by Susquehanna University.

How it Happened

  • Sam Plinke posted personal bests in a pair of events. She ran a time of 8.76 in the 60-meter dash to finish 17th out of 41 runners. Her 29.67 in the 200-meter was 25th out of 48.
  • Melissa Merritt turned in a personal best in the 60 in 9.05 for 27th.

  • "Today showed the progression we have made as all twelve of our athletes competing took another step forward with big performances at a big meet.  Also, what was so impressive is the resilience we showed battling the weather all week to get some quality practices despite subpar practice conditions.  With one more meet next week before the MAC Championships, we feel like we are in a great spot," Head Coach Chris Benassi.
