Women's swimming splits in dual meet

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Hood College swim team beat Lycoming and lost to Misericordia in a dual meet hosted by Lycoming College. 

Scores

  • Hood defeated Lycoming 147-86.
  • Misericordia defeated Hood 181-68.

Top Finishers

  • Ashley Coppage, Kate Sanborn, Melissa Jacobs, Ann Coleman, and Victoria Plaudis each recorded a second-place finish to lead the Blazers.
  • Coppage was second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:12.55. She also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:53.28.
  • Sanborn was the runner-up in the 100-yard breastroke in 1:12.86. Her time of 2:40.97 was good enough for third place in the 200-yard breastroke. She also placed third in the 200-yard medley relay alongside Coleman, Molly Cronin, and Danielle Pong, finishing in 2:05.09.
  • Jacobs placed second in the 200 back with a time of 2:22.78. 
  • Coleman finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:06.85. Alongside Cronin, Pong, and Mandy Smith, she also placed third in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:52.50.
  • Plaudis was the runner-up in the 400-yard individual medley, finishing in 5:07.82.
  • Smith finished third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:23.61.
