Women's swimming wins over Immaculata

FREDERICK, Md.- The Hood College women's swim team scored an 87-43 win over Immaculata University.

How it Happened

  • Brianna Hand-Solomon notched first place in the 100-yard backstroke and the 50-yard freestyle. Her time of 1:04.21 won the 100-yard backstroke. She swam a time of 25.65 to take the 50-yard freestyle.
  • Danielle Pong also recorded a pair of victories with wins in the 100 and 200-yard freestyle. She won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.84 and swam a time of 2:07.73 to win the 200-yard freestyle.
  • Kate Sanborn won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:32.87. She placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:14.85.
  • The team of Hand-Solomon, Sanborn, Pong, and Ann Coleman won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:00.42.
  • Coleman also picked up a pair of second place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke, swimming times of 26.99 and 1:06.84 respectively.
  • Mandy Smith finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:04.61.
