Men's Cross Country Wraps Up Season at Mideast Regional

NEWVILLE, Pa. - The Hood College men's cross country team wrapped up its 2017 season at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional, hosted by Dickinson College. 

How it Happened

  • Zach Crossey led the Blazers with a time of 27:43.9 on the 8,000-meter course. He finished 137th. 
  • Chris Burgenson broke 29 minutes for the first time as a Blazer, with a 28:48.2 to place 219th. 
  • Keegan Bello's 29:17.4 was 241st. Reese Whitesell turned in a time of 30:35.5 and was 291st. 
  • Kyle Lammey narrowly missed his personal best with a time of 33:22.4, for 318th. 
  • R.J. Tucker rounded out the Blazers contingent with a time of 33:37.3.


  • Swarthmore had the top three finishers and five of the top 10 on the way to the regional crown with 25 points. Graham Peet was the individual winner in 25:22.9.
  • Hood finished 41st an improvement of six places from last season.
