Men's swimming splits in Lycoming dual meet

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Hood College men's swim team beat Lycoming and lost to Misericordia in a dual meet hosted by Lycoming College.


  • Hood defeated Lycoming 123-108.
  • Misericordia defeated Hood 156-82.

Top Finishers

  • Gaby Hernandez-Paese finished first in the 100-yard breastroke in 1:05.25 to lead the Blazers. He also placed second in the 200-yard medley relay alongside Hazen Stowell, Russell Odor, and Nick Mazaleski with a time of 1:47.66. His time of 2:27.75 was good enough for third place in the 200-yard breastroke. 
  • Brooks Anderson placed second in the 1000-yard free with a time of 11:57.95. Alongside Hernandez-Paese, Odor, and Mazaleski, he also finished second in the 200 free relay in 1:34.06.
  • Stowell finished third in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.90. He also had a third-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:20.65.
  • Mazaleski was the runner-up in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.69 and finished third in the 100 free in 53.48.
  • Odor finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 58.03 and placed third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.53.
  • Patrick Krol placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:06.33.
