Men's golf takes sixth at Gettysburg

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - The Hood College men's golf team placed sixth at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational at Hanover Country Club. 

On the Scorecards

  • Hood's top four golfers were separated by a mere four shots on the par 71, 6,474-yard course. 
  • Andrew Heon led the Blazers with a round of 78. He tied for 15th. 
  • Alex Polidoro had his best round of the fall with a 79 and tied for 19th. 
  • Tanner Leonard's 80 was tied for 23rd, one shot in front of Sam Driscoll in a tie for 27th. 
  • Derek Wyld finished with an 86 for a 44th place tie. 


  • Marymount (Va.)'s John David Coffin shot and even-par 71 to take the individual title. 
  • Gettysburg defended its home course with a 304 to defeat Dickinson by five strokes for the win.
