ANNVILLE, Pa. - Hood College's Kyle Moir was voted to the Academic All-Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Team for his performance in the classroom and on the course.
Moir is a double major in mathematics and business administration (marketing concentration).
The senior tied for 20th at the MAC Commonwealth Championships (163) and shot his second-best career round with an 80 in the final round. For the year, he turned in an 85.4 season average.
Among his academic accomplishments are Chi Alpha Sigma, the Dean's List all eight semesters and the President's List both semesters this year to bring his career total to six. At Hood's Honors Convocation this spring, he was awarded the George B. Delaplaine Jr. School of Business Book Prize and the Leah B. Allen Award in Astronomy.
The Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field during the 2018 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight to both academic success and athletic success.
