Men's golf fifth at MAC Commonwealth Championships

WHITE HAVEN, Pa. - The Hood College men's golf team was fifth at the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Championships at Mountain Laurel Golf Club.

On the scorecards

  • Alex Polidoro followed his season-best round on day one with another season-best, shooting a second round 77 on the par-72 course to finish 12th.
  • Sam Driscoll improved by 10 shots on the second day, shooting a 76 to finish at 162 in a tie for 17th.
  • Andrew Heon and Kyle Moir shot matching scores for the second straight day. In round two, both golfers shot 80s and finished tied for 20th with 36-hole scores of 163.
  • Lance Coffey cut six shots off of his previous round with an 84 to finish at 174 in 32nd place.


  • Hood shot a 313 in round two for a two-day total of 646. The 313 is the fourth-best team score in program history.
  • Stevenson won the conference championship with a 621 after shooting a 305 on day two.
  • Alvernia's Kyung Chung shot a 72 on the second day to win the individual crown with a 145.
