Brenden Straughn Earns Hood Athlete of the Week Award

FREDERICK, Md.--Freshman point guard Brenden Straughn of the men's basketball team has been picked as the Hood College Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 1.

Straughn poured in a career-high 29 points in a 97-81 upset over the University of Mary Washington Eagles at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School Saturday, helping the Blazers end a four-game losing skid.
