GREENSBORO, N.C. - Hood College's Cam Esposito was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team.
It is the second all-region honor in as many days for Esposito, who was honored by D3baseball.com on May 21.
A senior center fielder and three-time All-MAC Commonwealth First Team selection, Esposito ranked among the conference leaders in seven different hitting categories. He was second in hits (71), RBIs (tied, 47) and triples (tied, 5); third in doubles (tied, 15); fourth in batting average (.401) and at-bats (177); and fifth in stolen bases (tied, 22). He struck out just nine times all season to go along with a .463 on-base percentage and .542 slugging percentage. His school record 71 hits this year were powered by 22 multi-hit efforts, including a pair of four-hit performances and 10 three-hit games. He scored four times against Gallaudet and had back-to-back four-RBI games against Gettysburg and Dickinson.
He helped the Blazers to 32 wins and a trip to the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Championship Game.
