Grayson Zubradt of men’s lacrosse and Jade Locklear of women’s lacrosse are Hood College’s Athletes of the Week for February 26, 2018.
In their first home game of the season, the men’s lacrosse team won 10-7 over the Shenandoah Hornets. Grayson Zubradt fueled the charge with four goals and four assists for the Blazers. His eight points tied for second all-time in Hood history and his four assists were a career-high.
Jade Locklear reached several milestones at Elizabethtown, but the Blue Jays defended their home field against the Blazers 16-7. She scored four goals to lead the Blazers. She now has 106 career tallies and passed both Brandy Noel (103) and Kelsey Blackwell (102) to move into second place all-time at Hood. She moved into tie for third in points with 124 (Katie Vu). With two draw controls in the contest, Locklear set the school's career record with 197. In the 17-5 home victory against Lancaster Bible College, Locklear had eight draw controls.
