Grayson Zubradt of the men's lacrosse team and Lauren Couch of women's lacrosse are the Hood College Athletes of the Week for Mar. 14.
Zubradt set a school record with six goals scored and tied a record with seven points in an 11-4 win over Saint Vincent. When the Blazers' lead was cut to two in the third quarter, Zubradt scored twice in 38 seconds to start a 7-2 run for Hood. The record-setting performance eclipsed career-highs in both goals and points, set in the previous game, in a win over La Roche. He scored four goals and an assist for five points in that victory. Zubradt scored the game-winner in both games, had a man-up goal in each game, and collected six ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Couch registered a 5.60 goals against average in a 2-1 week for the Blazers. She made 22 total saves and had a .564 save percentage. The senior came within three minutes of a shutout against Rosemont, making six saves to go with four ground balls and a caused turnover. In a win over Notre Dame (Md.), she had seven saves, three ground balls and a caused turnover. At Immaculata, Couch made nine saved and caused three turnovers.
