Brooks Warrenfeltz (Middletown, Md. / Middletown) and Roo Saglimbeni (Woodbine, Md. / Glenelg) of softball are the Hood College Athletes of the Week.
Warrenfeltz had hits in his final six at bats of the week against Gettysburg and Central Penn as Hood went 2-1. He had an .800 on-base percentage and slugged .875 over the three games. In the opener against the Knights, he was 2-for-2 with a pair of walks, a double and three runs batted in. Warrenfeltz went 3-for-3 in game two, scoring once and driving in one.>
In game two at Stevenson (W, 15-4, 5 inn.), Saglimbeni tied Blazer records with four hits, two home runs and 10 total bases in the game; and her six runs batted in were one shy of the school standard. She teamed with Kristy Erfurdt to produce the first time multiple players hit more than one homer in a game. Saglimbeni went 2-for-4 in game one as Hood picked up the sweep.
