Davon Hill of the men's basketball team and Alexis Andrukat of the women's basketball squad are the Hood College Athletes of the Week for December 21, 2015.
Hill, a senior guard led the Blazers to the championship game, averaging 23.5 points per game in the two contests. He scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half as Hood pulled away from an upstart Chatham squad in the semifinals, 78-60. In the championship game, he scored a career-high 33 points in an overtime loss to Stockton. Hill knocked down five 3-pointers in the game and went 12-of-15 at the free throw line. Not only was his scoring total a career-high, but it was the most for a Blazer since 2011, when Cameron Cook poured in 35 points in a game.
Andrukat led Hood with 13 points and was one of three Blazers with five rebounds in a loss at Eastern Mennonite.
