FREDERICK, Md. - Chris Cook (Mechanicsville, Va. / Lee-Davis) of men's basketball and Lauren Fogarty (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck) of women's swimming are the Hood College Athletes of the Week for the week ending on November 23.
Cook tallied a career-high 27 points in the home opener against Arcadia. He was 8-of-17 in shooting and 11-of-12 from the free throw line. The next day against Howard, Cook led the team with 14 points and went 4-of-8 from the 3-point range. The senior guard is averaging 20.5 points per game and leads the team in free throw percentage at .926.
Fogarty picked up two second place finishes and a third place finish at the Diamond City Invitational in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Her second place finishes came in the 500-yard freestyle and the 200 butterfly with times of 5:26.47 and 2:16.60, respectively. She notched third place in the 400 individual medley, touching the wall at 4:50.59.
