FREDERICK, Md. - Chad Love (Boonsboro, Md. / Boonsboro) of men's tennis and Ashley Fourcade (Rockville, Md. / Richard Montgomery) of the softball team are the Hood College Athletes of the Week for the week ending on April 27, 2014.
To wrap up his Hood career, Love swept his matches in the Blazers' 5-4 victory over Albright. He began the day teamed up with Luis Cotto in third doubles, and delivered a 8-5 victory over Sean Purcell and Terrence Good. In fourth singles he defeated Purcell 6-3, 7-5.
Against Arcadia Fourcade set the Hood College home run career record with a two-run homer in the first inning of game two. It was her 11th career long ball breaking the previous record set by Melanie Muscar in 2003-2004.
