Hood Women Place 37th of 44 Teams at NCAA Mideast Regional

WAYNESBURG, Pa.--The Hood College women's cross country team finished 37th of 44 teams at the 2008 NCAA Mideast Regional hosted by Waynesburg University.

In the final cross country race of her Blazer career, Danielle Sgro was Hood's top finisher in 26:04 for 151st place out of 305 competitors. Maria Moss (27:15), Sarah Morris (27:38) and Jessica Stanley (27:41) crossed the tape within 26 seconds of one another while Sam Smith was Hood's final scorer in 29:56. Kelly Keyser also completed the course for the Blazers in 31:58.

Johns Hopkins University won the regional with 80 points while Ursinus College's Christa Johnson won the individual competition in 22:01.
