Volleyball Takes Two of Three at Trinity Quad Match

WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Hood College volleyball team (3-14) won two of its three matches at the Trinity University (D.C.) quad match Saturday afternoon.
Hood swept the host Tigers in three sets (25-8, 25-9, 25-3) and outlasted the Penn State University Harrisburg Nittany Lions in four sets (25-12, 17-25, 25-23, 30-28) in the first two contests of the day.
Hood captured consecutive victories for the first time since October 2006 when the Blazers downed Trinity twice in four days.
The Blazers came up short against the Shenandoah University Hornets in their final match of the day, falling in three sets (25-13, 25-18, 25-18).

In addition, Tribett served up a career-high seven aces against the Tigers. Both Weaver and Tribett represented Hood on the all-tournament team.
