LYNCHBURG, Va.--The Hood College volleyball team (2-16) fell to Southern Virginia University, 3-0 (8-25, 14-25, 18-25), and Lynchburg College, 3-0 (11-25, 20-25, 9-25), Saturday afternoon in a triangular at Lynchburg.

Leah Garland contributed six kills, five digs and 12 assists on the day while Kristina Straub also finished with six kills. Lena Bushrod chipped in 12 digs and Jamie Gardner totaled seven digs and four kills.

Hood returns to action Wednesday hosting the York College Spartans in a Capital Athletic Conference match at 7 p.m. at Gambrill Gymnasium.
