STAUNTON, Va.--The Hood College volleyball team dropped 3-1 decisions to Mary Baldwin College and Chatham College in an Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference tri-match Saturday at Mary Baldwin.

The Blazers (1-8, 1-3 AWCC) opened the day with a 30-19, 19-30, 21-30, 28-30 loss to the host Fighting Squirrels. Caroline Woodhams led Hood with nine kills, 22 assists and 10 digs, while Leah Garland added eight kills and 15 digs. Jamie Gardner also had 15 digs.

The Blazers then fell to Chatham 24-30, 26-30, 30-28 and 27-30. Woodhams had 36 assists and 14 digs, Ashley Bryan had a team-high 13 kills and Gardner added nine kills and 15 digs.

Hood hosts College of Notre Dame (Md.) Tuesday at 7 p.m.
