CARLISLE, Pa.--The Hood College women's track and field team concluded its indoor slate at the Joe DuCharme Track and Field Invitational Saturday at Dickinson College.

Lauren Smith placed sixth in the 3000 meters with a school-record time of 11:52.00. Katie Thomas broke the indoor record and also placed sixth in the 55-meter hurdles in 9.61 seconds. She also bettered her time in the 55-meter dash (8.02) and the 200-meter dash (29.01). 

The 4x400 relay team of Sara Stiles, Amanda Kwiatkowski, Kelly Keyser and Thomas broke the indoor and outdoor standards by nearly five seconds with a time of 5:13.94.
