SALISBURY, Md.--The Hood College women's tennis team (1-3 0-2 CAC) fell 9-0 to the Salisbury University Sea Gulls (9-2, 1-0 CAC) Wednesday in a Capital Athletic Conference match.

Larisa Buriak battled Angela Tenaglia to three sets at third singles, falling 5-7, 6-2, 10-3. Laura Wanner took Lauren Bakker to three sets as well at the No. 5 spot, but came up short, 7-6(4), 0-6, 10-8.

The Blazers host a pair of nonconference opponents Saturday at the Baker Park Tennis Courts. Hood will take on Chestnut Hill College at noon followed by a 3 p.m. match with the College of Notre Dame.
