FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's and women's tennis teams trounced the visiting Lincoln University Lions in a doubleheader Thursday afternoon at the Hood College tennis courts.

The Blazer men ended a six-match losing skid and won the first match 7-2 and the second 8-1. The women's squad extended its winning streak to three in a row winning both matches by scores of 7-2 and 8-1.

On the men's side, Garrett Loomer and Robert Khitrik picked up a pair of singles victories, while Moga Nkate and Carlos Funes earned two victories at first doubles.

Stephanie Garrett dispatched Alisa Davis at first singles and Tiffany Stewart at fourth singles. Garrett also teamed with Dani Hunt to defeat Sharell Harwell and Kisha Robinson at No. 1 doubles.

The men's team returns to action Sunday against Shepherd University while the women's next match is slated for Tuesday against Salisbury University.
