FREDERICK, Md.--Sophomore Erica Hamor of the Hood College women's swim team was selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Co-Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Jan. 20. She shared the distinction with junior Brie McDowell of St. Mary's College (Md.).

Hamor won three events in Hood's 106-77 victory over league rival Gallaudet University Saturday. She captured top honors in the 1000 free (12:01.66), the 100 fly (1:08.80) and the 100 breast (1:17.02).

Hamor, a native of Nanjemoy, Md., is the first Hood women's swimmer to earn this accolade this season.

The Blazers (2-3, 1-3 CAC) have two meets scheduled this week. Hood travels to Frostburg State University Wednesday before returning home to host St. Mary's College (Md.) Saturday at the Hood Aquatics Center at 2 p.m.
