Notre Dame Nips Blazer Swimmers, 63-59

BALTIMORE, Md.--The College of Notre Dame (Md.) women's swim team edged the Hood College Blazers Saturday morning, 63-59, in an Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference meet in Baltimore. The Blazers fall to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in the AWCC.

Hood won eight events in the Gators' 20-yard pool. Erica Hamor was a triple winner in the 1000 free, the 200 fly and the 500 free, while Amy Kaufman captured the 200 back and the 100 fly. Other winners for Hood included Katie Hitchens in the 40 free and Sarah Haney in the 160 IM. Additionally, the 160-yard freestyle relay team of Kaufman, Hamor, Hitchens and Haney took top honors.

The Blazer women will join the Hood men's squad at the Randolph Macon Invitational in Ashland, Va. Dec. 1-2.
