WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.--Rebekah Shipe scored an unassisted goal at the 61:34 mark of the second half which proved to be the game-winner for Lycoming College as the Warriors (4-1) defeated Hood College (0-6) Saturday afternoon 1-0 in nonconference action.

Neither squad was able to muster much offensively, as the Warriors showed an 8-3 advantage in total shots on the day. Rachelle Buhrman came up with one stop while Lycoming keeper Jessica Bennett made three saves. Cara Jordan, Katherine Rendon and Alexa Hubicki got off shots for the Blazers.

Hood continues its six-match road swing Tuesday when the Blazers travel to Wilson College for a 4 p.m. nonconference contest.
