WAYNESBURG, Pa.--The Hood College women's soccer team (0-4) lost to Waynesburg College, 2-0, Saturday afternoon in nonconference action.

Danielle Danhires and Maddie Oltman scored second-half goals nine minutes apart to lift the Yellow Jackets to their first win of the fall. Hood outshot Waynesburg 13-7, including 10-3 in the second half, but was unable to cash in on the offensive end.

Freshman goalie Rachelle Buhrman turned away four shots for the Blazers while Paige Yeich and Amy Mills combined for the shutout as each played one half in the net.

Hood makes its Capital Athletic Conference debut Monday at St. Mary's College of Maryland at 4 p.m.
