DANVILLE, Va.--The Hood College women's soccer team battled non-conference foe Averett University to a 0-0 double-overtime tie Saturday afternoon.

The Blazers finish the regular season with an overall record of 9-5-2 while Averett moves to 9-7-1.

Hood outshot the Cougars, 9-7, but was unable to find the back of the net. Colleen Cruice had three shots on goal and Courtney DeSisto added one, but the Blazers settled for their second tie of the season. Freshman goalie Nina Duron stopped all three shots she faced.

Hood returns to action next weekend at the Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference tournament hosted by Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa.
