FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's soccer team was blanked by St. Mary's College of Maryland 8-0 Wednesday afternoon at Thomas Athletic Field.

St. Mary's (1-0) struck three times in the first half and tacked on five more goals in the second.

Carolyn Amirpashaie scored two goals and added an assist, while Katie Klotz had a goal and an assist.

Hood (0-2-1) was led by freshmen Whitney Boyer, who took four shots, and Nina Duron, who made 14 saves.

The Blazers return to action Thursday when they host Trinity (D.C.) University in an Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference match at 4 p.m. Note: THIS MATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
