| Title: | Assistant Coach |
Brandy Noel '10, a four-year letterwinner and former team captain at Hood, begins her third season as an assistant coach for the Hood women's lacrosse team.
Noel was a four-year starter during her playing days and was one of the most prolific players in the program's history. She was a very durable player as she started all 59 games of her career. She has the record for most goals in a career with 103. Noel is also ranked sixth all-time in assists with 19 and she's ranked second all-time in total points with 122.
Noel's best season came in her junior campaign when she racked up 29 goals for the season to go along with eight assists to total 37 points. She had eight multi-goal games in 2009 and had a season-high of five against Shenandoah that year. Her career-high in goals came in her freshman year when she piled on seven goals againts Wells. Noel was also a First-Team AWCC selection her freshman year. In her senior season she won a very prestigious honor as she was named to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District II At-Large Third Team, which is based on votes by sports information directors across the region. Noel was also featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" section her senior year for her academic and athletic excellence.
Noel earned her bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from Hood in the spring of 2010. Hood posted the two highest goal totals for a single season during Noel's junior and senior campaigns, and her guidance as an assistant coach should help continue that trend.
