FREDERICK, Md.- The Hood College women's lacrosse team fell to the visiting Knights of Arcadia 16-11.

How it Happened

  • The Knights jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the 18:22 mark of the first half.
  • Hood responded with a four goal run to take a 4-3 lead with 12:14 remaining.
  • Arcadia notched another three goal spurt before Slater found the back of the net for the Blazers at 6:21 to make the score 6-5.
  • The remainder of the first half saw four more goals for the Knights to Hood's one, giving Arcadia a 10-6 edge at the halftime break.
  • The teams traded goals out of halftime before Slater scored a man-down goal to cut the score to 12-9.
  • The Knights responded again with three straight goals to up their lead to six, 15-9.
  • Two goals by Hood cut into the lead but another score by the Knights put the game out of reach.
