Hood Falls to Stevenson in Season Finale, 18-2

FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's lacrosse team (8-7, 1-6 CAC) suffered an 18-2 defeat at the hands of Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson University (9-6, 4-3 CAC) Tuesday in the Blazers' season finale.
Stevenson tallied the game's first 15 goals before Lauren Perzan notched her 18th goal of the season at the 19:04 mark of the second half. Then less than sixth minutes later, Helene Butler found the back of the net for the sixth time this season. Kelsey Blackwell assisted on both scores to bring her season total to 21.
Twelve different players scored for Stevenson, which led 12-0 at halftime. Lisa Baker finished with seven points on three goals and four assists to pace the Mustangs.
Sam Liptrap turned away 12 shots in the net for Hood, while a trio of Stevenson keepers made six stops. Abby Dyjack caused two turnovers and scooped five groundballs to lead the defense.
