Bridgewater Tops Women's Lax, 18-2


FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's lacrosse team (0-2) fell 18-2 to the visiting Bridgewater College Eagles (1-0) Thursday in the Blazers' home opener at Thomas Athletic Field.

Sophomores Jayme Frost and Brandy Noel both scored for the Blazers. Lindsay Snyder netted five goals and assisted on a sixth for the Eagles while Leslie Crawford tallied four goals and an assist. In all, eight different Eagles found the back of the net.

Lauren Lieb turned away 15 shots on the day while Colleen Schwind picked up two saves and did not allow a goal to earn the victory for the Eagles.

The Blazers next host Marymount University Saturday at 1 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field.
