Hood Falls to No. 3 Salisbury in Season Opener

SALISBURY, Md.--The No. 3-ranked Salisbury University Sea Gulls (1-0, 1-0 CAC) defeated the Hood College women's lacrosse team (0-1, 0-1 CAC) 24-0 Saturday in the season opener for both schools.
The Blazers, facing a formidable Salisbury opponent in the program's first-ever Capital Athletic Conference game, were unable to get off a shot on goal in the contest.
Brandy Noel was credited with three draw controls and Lauren Perzan, Patsy Davis, Jen Graham, Lauren Lieb and Noel all snagged ground balls for Hood. Lieb made four saves on the day and now needs just 37 more to become the program's all-time saves leader.
The Blazers' next game is Tuesday, Feb. 26 when Hood hosts Bridgewater College in its home opener at 3:30 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field.
