Noel, Frost, Burrier Score for Hood Women's Lax
BALTIMORE, Md.--The Hood College women's lacrosse team fell 15-3 to the College of Notre Dame (Md.) in an Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference contest Tuesday.
Hood suffered its first AWCC loss of the season, dropping to 3-7 overall and 2-1 in the league, while the Gators improve to 12-1 and 3-0 in the conference.
Laurie Burrier staked the Blazers to an early 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the game when she netted her 17th tally of the season. But the Gators reeled off 10 unanswered goals to take a 10-1 lead at halftime.
Jayme Frost netted Hood's second score just 40 seconds into the second half and Brandy Noel tallied her team-high 22nd goal of the spring at the 11:09 mark to round out the scoring for the Blazers.
Lauren Lieb finished with 11 saves for Hood.
The Blazers have just one non-conference game left on their schedule before the AWCC tournament next weekend. Hood will travel to Marymount University Sunday for a rare night game with the Saints at 7 p.m.
