Frick Leads Women's Golf at McDaniel

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - The Hood College women's golf team opened its season with a seventh place finish at the McDaniel Fall Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club. 

How it Happened

  • Freshman Jenna Frick had a solid debut with a 93 to finish tied for 14th in her first collegiate round. The score is a school record for the second-year Blazer program. 
  • Melissa Cairo shot a 111 to place 26th on the par-72, 5,813-yard course. 
  • Brielle Rozmus shot a 121 to take 31st place, five strokes better than her best round last spring. 
  • Lauren Sheppard was 33rd with a round of 128 in her college debut. 

Notes

  • Stevenson's Morgan Wirtz won the individual title by one stroke with an 82. 
  • The Mustangs defeated Dickinson by five shots for the team win with a 346. 
  • Hood shot a 453.
