Darnell Barbour begins his fourth season as an assistant at Hood College after a decade of experience on the high school level.

A graduate of Old Dominion University, Barbour began his coaching career as the head boy’s basketball coach at Norview High School in Norfolk, Va. By the completion of his fourth season at Norview, he had turned the program around from a fledgling one into the seventh ranked team in the state.

After four more years of coaching in Georgia and Maryland, Barbour began his own business, The “Swisssh” Shooting Academy, where he teaches the fundamentals of shooting the basketball.
