CHESTER, Pa.- The Hood College women's basketball team dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth matchup on the road to the Widener Pride 97-57.

How it Happened

  • The Pride started the game on a 9-2 run before Pitt knocked down a jumper with 6:19 left in the first period.
  • Widener took a 28-15 lead heading into the second quarter.
  • Lauren Keeney nailed a 3-pointer to halt an 11-0 Widener run at the 5:28 mark to make the score 39-18.
  • The Blazers trailed 53-26 at the half.
  • Widener continued its hot shooting in the second half going 60 percent for the field and 13 for 13 from the free throw line as a team ended Hood's hopes at a comeback.
