ANNVILLE, Pa. - Hood College's Kayli Paugh has been named Middle Atlantic Conference MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week.
Paugh went 3-0 and allowed just one run over 23 innings of work for a 0.39 ERA. She allowed just nine total hits, struck out 32 batters, walked five batters, and held them to a .122 batting average. The junior had three complete games and two shutouts, including a nine-inning shutout against Bethany. In that win, Paugh allowed just four hits, walked none, and struck out 12 batters. She also struck out 12 batters and allowed just three hits in a 9-1 win over Marywood. In a 2-0 win over Lawrence, Paugh struck out eight batters, allowed just two hits, and walked only two batters.
Her efforts propelled Hood to a 7-0 record on its spring trip to improve to 8-3 on the year.
