Jen WillisonJen Willison Represents Hood on All-CAC Softball Team
FREDERICK, Md.--Junior outfielder Jen Willison has been selected
as one of three outfielders on the 2009 Capital Athletic Conference
all-league first team, as announced by league officials
Wednesday.
With two doubleheaders remaining on the schedule, Willison has
started 30 of the 33 games she has played and leads the team in
numerous categories, including batting average (.337), hits (28),
doubles (7), homeruns (6) and RBI (26). The native of Hancock, Md.,
is tied for fourth in the CAC in homeruns and ranks second on
Hood's career list in that category with eight in her three-year
career.
She started all 12 CAC games and owned an impressive .733 slugging
percentage while driving in 12 runs.
Hood (11-23) won a pair of CAC plyoff games at last week's
tournament and wrap up the regular season this week with two
twinbills. Hood travels to McDaniel College Thursday and Catholic
University Sunday.
