FREDERICK, Md.--Head coach Brent Ayer and the Hood College men's and women's cross country teams will host the Hood Invitational Saturday at Heritage Farm Park in Walkersville, Md.

A total of 13 teams and more than 225 runners will be competing in the race, a 6K for the women and an 8K for the men. The men's race will begin at 11 a.m. with the women getting underway at 11:45 a.m. An awards presentation will commence at approximately 12:45 p.m.

The teams competing in the invitational with the Blazers are Alvernia College, Delaware Valley College, Hagerstown Community College, Howard Community College, Lincoln University, Marymount University, McDaniel College, Montgomery-Rockville Community College, Mount Aloysius College, Penn State University-Altoona, Shepherd University and Wesley College.
