FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's tennis team (2-3, 0-1 CAC) fell to the visiting York College (Pa.) Spartans (4-6, 2-2 CAC) by an 8-1 margin in a Capital Athletic Conference match Thursday at Baker Park.
Mike Hardman and David Blowe earned an 8-4 victory at first doubles for the Blazers' lone point of the afternoon.
Hardman rallied to force a third set at first singles, but came up just short in the final frame, 3-6.
The Spartans recorded straight set wins at the opther five singles positions and captured second and third doubles by scores of 8-0 and 8-1, respectively.
Hood next travels to Salisbury University Sunday for a 1 p.m. CAC match.
