FREDERICKSBURG, Va.--The fifth-seeded Hood College men's tennis team (5-15) lost to top-seeded University of Mary Washington (16-10) by a count of 9-0 Monday afternoon in the semifinals of the Capital Athletic Conference tournament.

The Eagles, ranked No. 17 in NCAA Division III, downed the Blazers in straight sets in all six singles matches and surrendered just four games in doubles play.

Hood has a tentative nonconference matchup with Goucher College scheduled for Thursday, April 30.
