Men's Swimmers Defeat Frostburg State, 96-62


FROSTBURG, Md.--The Hood College men's swim team (1-5) won nine events and picked up their first victory of the season, 96-62, over Frostburg State University Wednesday in nonconference action.

Senior Jason Kinder won the 800 free (9:32.58), the 200 fly (2:31.02) and the 400 free (4:38.92).

Junior Matt Haynes captured the 200 free (2:13.89), the 50 free (25.70) and the 200 back (2:27.22).

Freshman Robert Ennis took top honors in the 200 IM (2:36.04), the 100 free (1:00.04) and the 200 breast (2:49.08). 

Freshman Kyle Atras was third in both the 800 free (13:13.83) and the 200 IM (3:27.33). 

Junior A.J. Smith placed fourth in the 200 free (3:05.94), third in the 200 back (3:35.01) and fourth in the 200 breast (3:33.44).  

Hood returns home Saturday to host St. Mary's College (Md.) at 2 p.m. at the Hood Aquatics Center.
