Blazer Swimmers Open CAC Season at York Tri-Meet

YORK, Pa.--The Hood College men's swim team (0-3, 0-2 CAC) dropped a pair of Capital Athletic Conference decisions at the York College (Pa.) tri-meet Saturday.
Hood fell to the University of Mary Washington, 222-27, and the host Spartans, 222-27.
The 200 medley relay squad of Andrew Bodine, Ethan Weidman, Matthew Benoit and Chris Moreland started the meet with a seventh-place finish with a time of 1:50.69.
Benoit also placed seventh in both the 200 free (2:07.64) and the 100 free (54.58). Junior Kyle Atras was eighth in the 200 free (2:33.45) and seventh in the 500 free (7:05.52).
Weidman came in seventh in both the 100 back (1:11.59) and the 200 back (2:38.67) and took eighth in the 200 IM (2:35.38).
Moreland finished seventh in the 100 breast (1:10.38), the 200 breast (2:39.29) and the 200 IM (2:19.69).
Senior Thomas Williams placed eighth in both the 100 breast (1:30.88) and the 200 breast (3:13.58).
Bodine touched the wall seventh in the 200 fly (2:31.06) and the 100 fly (1:02.75) and took eighth in the 100 free (56.06).
Hood returns to the Huntsinger Aquatic Center Saturday to host CAC foe Marymount University at 2 p.m.
