Aldinger, Hornets Sting Blazer Men, 2-0

WINCHESTER, Va.--Adam Aldinger scored both goals for the Shenandoah University Hornets (1-4-1) in a 2-0 nonconference win over the Hood College men's soccer team (1-4) Monday evening.

Aldinger notched a goal in each half and Shenandoah outshot the Blazers 17-3 on the night to earn its first victory of the fall. Hood's Michael Yencho and Zach Salisbury combined for three shot on target but all three were stopped by Hornet netminder Arman Bozorgmanesh.

Shenandoah's stingy defense denied the Blazers a single shot in the second half, but Hood keeper Shawn Fernholz kept Hood close by making eight saves in defeat.

Hood next journeys to Lancaster Bible College Saturday for a 3 p.m. nonconference match.
