FREDERICK, Md.--Dominique Shorter netted the Blazers' lone goal of the day in the final minute of the fourth quarter as the Hood College men's lacrosse team (0-6) fell to the visiting Washington & Lee University Generals (3-2) Monday in nonconference action at Thomas Athletic Field.

Will Englehart tallied a hat trick and assisted on two other scores for the Generals, who outshot the Blazers 46-19. Ned Rider also recorded a hat trick and picked up an assist while Seth Fishman notched a pair of goals. Seven other Generals netted single tallies in the victory.

Sam Hofmann played three quarters between the pipes and made 12 saves while Nicholas O'Brien recorded six saves in the third quarter for Hood.

The Blazers entertain Virginia Wesleyan College Wednesday in a makeup game from Feb. 23. Face-off is slated for 3 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field.
