Goucher Downs Hood Men's Lacrosse

TOWSON, Md.--The Goucher College men's lacrosse team defeated Hood College 24-2 Wednesday afternoon in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.

Hood drops to 0-11 overall and 0-6 in the CAC, while the Gophers improve to 3-4 overall, 2-2 CAC.

After Dan Flamholz got the Gophers on the board in the first minute of the game with one of his team-high six goals, Hood's Jason Anderson knotted the game up at 1-1 with his 15th tally of the season.

Goucher then netted six straight goals before Anderson fed Blake Rust for his fifth score of the season at the 1:28 mark.

However, Hood was held scoreless for the final three quarters and got off just six shots the rest of the afternoon.

Sam Hofmann made 25 saves in goal for the Blazers.

Hood returns to action Wednesday, April 4, at McDaniel College. Face-off is slated for 4 p.m.
